I’ve owned several boss, ehx and MXR sub octave pedal. The pog will track better, but sound kind of synth-y, the boss didn’t track well at all imo and the MXR have decent tracking and sound very natural and analog. The newer MXRs don’t sound nearly as good or track as well as the early 2000’s sub octave I found on eBay.

The proco rat is one of the oldest and best sounding distortion/fuzz pedals and still holds up as a tone monster. The dunlop crybaby is another old ass pedal. One of the first wahs. Great for expression. And the dd3 is the workhorse of delay pedals, expanding your sound and helping give you another creative outlet.
